![]() That took some doing because I first removed everything from the Mobile Sync folder on the mac and Dttg told me there was nothing to sync. I finally decided to get rid of everything (experimental stuff only so nothing important) and start over. Additions I made to some files on the mac weren’t appearing in the Dttg files, and vice versa. Some files were syncing OK and some were not. Then I started doing more experimenting with Dttg and the next problem was that the syncing was behaving crazily. I was supposed to get a warning before I did the first sync but didn’t, so something is wrong. I finally got a reply to my post informing me that once you’ve started syncing with DTk on the mac the Global Inbox is replaced with the “Your Documents” DB. All seemed to be OK with my first sync - except that the Global Inbox and all its contents had disappeared. Then I set up an experimental set of files/folders in Devonthink to sync with Dttg. Apparently normal behavior according to info I found in this forum. I tried to do some organizing by creating folders but couldn’t move any of the other stuff into them. When I first installed it I did some experimenting, adding web clippings, creating new files…Īll of this was going into the Global Inbox. I’m a newcomer to Dttg and the same thing happened to me, which I posted in a different thread at the end of December. It’s better than Windows 95 out there, but my iPad still manages to fail at the most basic stuff That’s whatI’ve been hoping for the last few decades, though, so I’m not holding my breath. My hope for 2015 is that Apple (and the developers of the apps I use) manage to come together and create a robust and reliable system. It is probably user error, but I haven’t figured out what I did.Īt any rate, I handle just about everything on iOS as if it will crash or lose my data at any moment, because they so often have! I have been betrayed so much by iOS over the years. I’ve made it another day without issues in DTTGO, it seems, though I somehow managed to overwrite new stuff with old stuff. Perhaps it is better than Keep, but that’s not saying much. I haven’t touched Notes myself – no encryption, search is embarrassingly poor, no way in or out (at least, I couldn’t find one), and the list goes on. Text higher up in the document remained, while text at the end was continuously deleted.BTW, Veritrope has got an AppleScript to take the contents of Notes into DTPO.Preexisting lack of sync of information added to the note on another device (at the bottom of the document). But after a while I understood that text added at the bottom kept disappearing while text higher up in the document remained. It took me a while to notice since I was into the meeting. When I added text to the bottom of the note, they disappeared every time the note ”blinked”. In any case, when I started writing into the note, adding comments to bullets already in the note, the changes were committed and remain. So there might have been an existing conflict somewhere. I had previously added other comments to the same note from another iPad and these changes never made it into the note. It was a simple note with some numbered bullet points. I had a prepared note with a meeting agenda. Eg when the problem arose, was there a lot of data that needed to come over from the other device? Did you first change a date or something? If you can think of any circumstances which might be relevant to the problem. I will use Apple Notes instead until you report back that this has been fixed. Now my trust in Agenda has been severly damaged. This is the second time notes/text disappears for me. This time it worked and the added text was properly synced back to the Mac without problems. I again force quit the Agenda app on the ipad and tried editing. The iPad app blinked like crazy and on its own (beats me how) created a new note instead of allowing me to edit the note created by the mac. ![]() The note intially synced to the iPad but coult not be edited. Then going to the iPad to edit to see if I could reproduce the error. Later I went to my desk and created a new note from the mac, keeping it open on the mac. I force quit the iPad app and tried recreating the problem. Possibly this caused some kind of sync loop where the MAc constantly overwrote the iPads newer notes. Things that might be helpful to know (Agenda version, OS and model, etc): Latest iOS.Īt the same time my mac had the same not open on Agenda for the mac. What I expected: All text to remain in the document. After a while I started noticing that some of the text I had previously added at the bottom of the document disappeared. Every few seconds the screen blinked pushing the curser to the bottom of the note (even if I made additional notes to the mid part of the document). What happened: New text kept disappearing. What I did:I took meeting notes during a meeting in an iPad.
